Rijad Saric was born in Sarajevo, where he completed a four-year Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Science & Electrical Engineering) at SSST and Master of Embedded System Engineering at IBU, both in Sarajevo. He is an outstanding student with exponential academic and research achievements. During his early career, he demonstrated strong research capabilities publishing seven research peer-reviewed papers at international conferences and journals.
Furthermore, he undertook two major international research internships at world-class organisations. The first was at Photon System Instruments (PSI), in Brno, Czech Republic, global leading research and development company for scientific instruments about plant and biology science. Another international internship was undertaken at Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics (IHP) in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. He was working at the system design department under the supervision of distinguished research scientists in the field of digital electronics.
Finally, he is currently doing his research engagement at La Trobe Innovation & Entrepreneurship Foundry (LIEF) in Melbourne, Australia where he is preparing for PhD research combining computer vision, image processing and machine & deep learning methodologies.
